E-filing Form 1099

How to E-file Form 1099 with ExpressIRSForms

  • Create or log into your ExpressIRSForms account.
  • Select Start New Form.
  • Select the 1099 form you need to file under the W-2/1099 Forms section.
  • Select a payer from your Address Book by using the drop down menu, or enter in new payer details, then click Next.
  • Select whether you’d like to complete your 1099 forms individually or if you’d prefer to bulk upload.
  • If you selected Add Individual Form, enter in your first recipient’s details on the following page then click Next. On the following pages, enter the appropriate federal and state financial details as they apply to your recipient.
  • If you selected Bulk Upload, download, complete, and upload our Employee Details template, or upload your own. On the next page, you’ll then map your data to make sure it’s entered correctly.
  • From the Summary page, you can view and edit the forms you’ve completed. You can also add another form for this payer from this screen. Once you’re satisfied with your forms, click Continue.
  • Choose whether you’d like federal e-filing only of your forms, or if you’d like a package combination including postal mailings and/or state e-filing. Click Continue.
  • Review your order details and click Continue.
  • Enter your credit or debit card information for our transmission fee, and click Continue.
  • Review your order details once more, and then click Pay and Transmit to complete your filing process.
  • Once you’ve transmitted, you can print recipient copies and copies for your records from your Print Center, and we’ll notify you via email when the IRS has processed your return.
